The Collective PAC Congratulates Our Endorsed Municipal Candidates in Tennessee On General Election Victories

WASHINGTON, D.C. Today, The Collective PAC — the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation, and power across all levels of government  —  congratulates our endorsed municipal candidates in Tennessee on their general election victories.

  • Mr. Marcus Floyd is running for Davidson County’s General Session Court, Division VII. As a former Probation Officer, Prosecutor, Mayoral Policy Advisor, and current Public Defender; Mr. Floyd is committed to bringing equity, trust, and accountability to the bench.  He is running to improve the transparency and accountability between the court and the community, and implementing technology into the legal system.


  • Judge Rachel L. Bell is running for re-election for Davidson County’s General Session Court, Division VIII. Judge Bell is a third-generation Nashvillian with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Memphis, and a Juris Doctorate from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis. In 2021, Judge Bell was awarded the Tennessee Human Rights Award for Outstanding Service, and was a featured  speaker at the White House Eviction Prevention Summit. Since being elected to the bench, Judge Bell has created several initiatives for Davidson County to help rebirth and uplift the community, such initiatives as the Bordeaux North Community Justice Center and the L.E.G.A.C.Y (Let Every Goal Achieve Continuous Yields) Housing Resource Diversionary Court and Program. Judge Bell aspires to continue to advocate for criminal justice reform and public safety. 


  • Mrs. Robin Kimbrough Hayes is running for Davidson County’s General Session Court, Division V. Mrs. Hayes is a graduate of Fisk University and  Emory University School of Law. Formerly Mrs.Hayes worked as the Assistant Attorney General and Associate General Counsel for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services. She  has dedicated over a decade working as Legal Counsel for Tennessee Coalition; and currently sits on the Tennessee Democratic Party Advisory Board. If elected, Mrs. Hayes aims to increase judicial access, use restorative justice for criminal and civil matters, and conduct community town halls.

 

  • Ms. Marie Mott is running for Chattanooga City Council in District Eight. Ms. Mott is an activist, community organizer, and Co-Founder of “Healing Gardens CHA” an organization specializing in ending food insecurity in Oak Grove and Ridgedale. If elected, she plans to create a community land trust to alleviate the housing crisis, create community cleanup and education to encourage cleaner neighborhoods, and introduce a robust mental health response program.

The Collective PAC is strategically focused on creating a truly equitable democracy where our nation’s local, state, and federal governments have diverse and talented elected leadership and Black people are fully represented in positions of power to create the policies necessary to progress our communities forward. Over the past five years, The Collective PAC has successfully helped 300 Black candidates win elections across the United States.
