The Collective PAC Congratulates Representative Steven Horsford & Attorney General Aaron Ford On Primary Victory

WASHINGTON, D.C. Today, The Collective PAC  —  the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation, and power across all levels of government  —  congratulates U.S. Representative Steven Horsford and Attorney General Aaron Ford on their re-election primary victories in Nevada.

  • Representative Steven Horsford is running for re-election for Nevada’s Fourth Congressional District. Congressman Horsford was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, and in 2012, he became the first Black person to represent the state in Congress. From the moment he got to Washington, Rep. Horsford has worked tirelessly to expand affordable healthcare, as well as economic opportunities and job programs that will help get Americans back on their feet. Throughout the pandemic, he has worked hard to stop COVID-19 in its tracks and helped to pass the CARES Act and the American Rescue Plan bringing direct relief to his community. 

 

  • Attorney General Aaron Ford is running for re-election for Attorney General in Nevada.  Attorney General Ford is a dedicated attorney and public servant, formerly representing District 11 in the Nevada State Senate, Attorney General Ford is a former State Senate Majority Leader. During his tenure as Majority Leader, he was able to increase transparency among pharmaceutical companies, open mental health and substance abuse programs, and encourage criminal justice reform through educational programs. Attorney General Ford’s dedication to addressing the opioid crisis in Nevada led to the state’s first settlement of $45 million given to families of the community affected by this tragedy.

Horsford and Attorney General Ford will continue to build upon their legacy of advocating, elevating, and enhancing the communities in Nevada through job initiatives, mental health and substance abuse programs, and healthcare expansion.”
