The Collective PAC Congratulates Sändra Washington on Her Reelection to the Lincoln, NE City Council

WASHINGTON, D.C. Today, The Collective PAC, the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation and power across all levels of government, congratulated Councilmember Sändra Washington on winning reelection to the Lincoln City Council in Nebraska. Co-founders of The Collective PAC, Quentin James and Stefanie Brown James released the following statement: 

“The Collective PAC is thrilled to congratulate Councilmember Sändra Washington on her reelection to the Lincoln City Council. Effective, local leaders like Sändra, are fundamental to building communities that center equity and give all working families a chance to succeed. She will continue to be a strong voice on the need for affordable housing and health care and will boldly advocate for people-centered solutions to Lincoln’s biggest challenges. The Collective PAC has been proud to support Sändra on the campaign trail and we look forward to her continued work on the city council.”

Councilmember Sändra Washington has served the people of Nebraska for 35 years. Since being appointed to the Lincoln City Council in 2019, she has focused on increasing access to affordable housing, advancing policies that prioritized racial equity and ensuring that Lincoln is ready to address the climate crisis. Sändra has previously served as a Lincoln-Lancaster County Planning Commissioner, Midwest Chief of Planning for the National Park Service and Associate Regional Director for the Midwest Region for Cultural Resources, Planning, Construction, Communications, Legislation and Congressional Affairs.
