WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC — the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation, and power across all levels of government — endorsed Malcolm Kenyatta to represent Pennsylvania in the United States Senate.

State Representative Malcolm Kenyatta currently represents Philadelphia County residents in the state’s legislative house district 181 and serves as Vice-Chair of the house’s Pennsylvania Delegation. Representative Kenyatta is an innovative leader who has sponsored proposals to raise the minimum wage, expand access to mental health care and affordable housing, while protecting digital infrastructure. An outspoken community activist, Rep. Kenyatta is the leader of the Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives at the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and when elected, will make history as the first openly gay senator in the United States and the first Black person to represent Pennsylvania in the U.S. Senate.

Founders of The Collective PAC, Quentin James and Stefanie Brown James, released the following statement:

“The Collective PAC is proud to endorse Malcolm Kenyatta to represent Pennsylvania in the United States Senate. State Rep. Kenyatta’s work as a transformative voice for the community has enabled him to push for much needed progress on behalf of all Pennsylvanians. We support his plans to protect voting rights and advocate for criminal justice reform, accessible and expanded healthcare and economic recovery. When elected, Rep. Kenyatta will become one of the youngest sitting U.S. Senators and the first openly gay senator in history. Collectively, we’re ready to help this history-maker and community advocate win for all of us.”
