Tuesday, August 31st, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC — the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation and power across all levels of government — endorsed Johanna Hampton-Dance for City Council in Worcester, Massachusetts. Founders of The Collective PAC, Quentin James and Stefanie Brown James, released the following statement:

“The Collective PAC is thrilled to endorse Johanna Hampton-Dance for City Council in Worcester, Massachusetts. As a radio personality at WNRC, Ms. Hampton-Dance uses her voice to inform, educate and entertain the community. She will work diligently to cultivate community resources more equitably across District 2 to improve sustainability for the district where every citizen is supported, heard and represented on issues of importance in the city. The Collective PAC is excited to help Ms. Hampton-Dance amplify the voices of the community to progress Worcester forward.”

Raised in Worcester, Ms. Hampton-Dance became interested in politics after experiencing homelessness. This interest increased in the wake of the pandemic after witnessing families in the community falling through the cracks. Ms. Hampton-Dance is an activist, mother and daughter of District 2, and if elected, she plans on having open communication with the community about their concerns and implementing change moving forward.
