The Collective PAC Endorses State & Local Candidates In Ohio and Tennessee

WASHINGTON, D.C. Today, The Collective PAC, the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation, and power across all levels of government  —  has endorsed Jeffery Saffold, Councilwoman Meredith M. Turner, and Judge Michael John Ryan in Ohio, and Brian Bush, Marcus Shute Jr., Judge Rachel L. Bell, and Robin Kimbrough Hayes in Tennessee. 

Ohio

  • Mr. Jeffery Saffold is running to serve Cuyahoga County as a Judge on the Common Pleas Court. Mr. Saffold has been fighting for the people as an attorney for over 25 years; he plans to continue the fight for justice if elected. 


  • Councilwoman Meredith M. Turner is running for re-election for Cuyahoga County Council in District 9. Councilwoman plans to empower the community through civic engagement and job opportunities. 


  • Judge Michael John Ryan is running to serve on Ohio’s Eighth District Court of Appeals.  Judge Ryan is committed to creating equity within the courtroom and improving the community’s participation in court proceedings. 

 

Tennessee

  • Mr. Brian Bush is running to serve as a Chattanooga City Court Judge. Mr. Bush is a Chattanooga native, lawyer, community advocate, U.S. Navy officer, and former Assistant District Attorney; he aspires to use his experiences to usher in a new vision for City Court.


  • Mr. Marcus Shute Jr. is running to serve as Davidson County’s Division 6  Criminal Court Judge. Mr. Shute is dedicated to reducing recidivism through treatment and rehabilitation, increasing mental health and substance programs, and strengthening the community.


  • Judge Rachel L. Bell is running for re-election for  Davidson County’s General Session Court,   Division VIII.  Judge Bell aspires to continue to advocate for criminal justice reform and public safety. 


  • Mrs. Robin Kimbrough Hayes is running for Davidson County’s General Session Court, Division V. Mrs. Hayes has dedicated over a decade working as Legal Counsel for Tennessee Coalition; she aims to increase judicial access, use restorative justice for criminal and civil matters, and conduct community town halls.

The Collective PAC is strategically focused on creating a truly equitable democracy where our nation’s local, state and federal governments have diverse and talented elected leadership and Black people are fully represented in positions of power to create the policies necessary to progress our communities forward. Over the past five years, The Collective PAC has successfully helped 300 Black candidates win elections across the United States.
