The Collective PAC Congratulates Congresswoman Karen Bass On Primary Victory for Mayor of Los Angeles

WASHINGTON, D.C. Today, The Collective PAC  — the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation, and power across all levels of government  —  congratulates Congresswoman Karen Bass on her primary victory for Mayor of Los Angeles. 

Congresswoman Karen Bass is running for Mayor of Los Angeles. Rep. Bass has been a longtime community advocate and a fighter for social and economic justice. Rep. Bass served as the Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus and introduced the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act – the most influential piece of policing legislation ever passed in Congress. If elected as mayor, Rep. Bass plans to address the crisis of homelessness by developing a comprehensive approach to the lack of housing, health care, job opportunities, and alcohol and drug treatment centers. If elected, Rep. Bass would be the first woman and second Black mayor of Los Angeles.
