The Collective PAC Endorses U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock For Re-election in Georgia

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC  — the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation, and power across all levels of government  —   endorsed Reverend Raphael Warnock for re-election to the United States Senate in Georgia.

Reverend Raphael Warnock made history when he was elected last year, becoming the first Black Democratic senator in the south since Reconstruction and helping to secure a Democratic majority in the United States Senate. Reverend Warnock’s first speech on the congressional floor was in support of the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the For the People Act. In just over a year and a half, Reverend Warnock has focused on protecting and growing jobs across the state, holding corporations accountable for price gouging, standing up for military families, and lowering the cost of living for all Georgians. If re-elected, ReverendWarnock will continue to be a dedicated public servant to the state of Georgia and sponsor bills that will create a better future for Georgians and all Americans.

Founders of The Collective PAC, Quentin James and Stefanie Brown James, released the following statement:

“The Collective PAC is thrilled to once again endorse Reverend Raphael Warnock to represent Georgia in the United States Senate. Reverend Warnock’s first year in office has demonstrated his commitment to progressing Georgia forward and creating opportunities for Georgians to increase their quality of life. Through his leadership, Reverend Warnock helped to secure funding for historically Black colleges and universities; and championed the saving of Georgia military jobs by maintaining critical funding for the Savannah Combat Readiness Training Center. Reverend Warnock is a strong advocate for Georgia and will continue to push for equal representation and equity in the Senate. The Collective PAC is honored to endorse this dedicated leader  and we look forward to supporting his leadership as a United States Senator.”

The Collective PAC Statement on the Supreme Court of the United States Overturning Roe v. Wade

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC — the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation and power across all levels of government — joined millions of Americans in condemning the decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Founders of The Collective PAC, Quentin James and Stefanie Brown James, released the following statement:

“The Collective PAC is outraged by the decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. Since 1973, this country has recognized a woman’s constitutional right to abortions, and since then, countless lives have been saved due to women having access to safe abortions. This decision will not only have major repercussions for women’s healthcare and the quality of life for families across the country, but will also lay the groundwork for untold tragedies as women will be forced to make life-threatening decisions in order to do what they feel is best for their bodies, personal medical decisions, and life situations.

Sadly, this Court continues to demonstrate their regressive disregard for the rights of all people. We know abortion bans disproportionately harm Black, Latino, Indigenous, and other people of color because of this country’s legacy of racism and discrimination.  We also unfortunately know this is only the beginning of their quest to further erode the traditional liberties enjoyed by the American people.

This latest sad decision is a perfect example of why every election matters and every vote counts. In a single term, former President Trump – who is now under scrutiny for attempting to betray our democracy – was able to change the makeup of the highest court in the land; and in two short years, overturn a nearly 50 year precedent supported by the majority of Americans. We know we’ll ultimately be victorious . . . because we will fight, organize, mobilize and use our power to make this country the place of freedom it should be for all people.”
