WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC — the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation, and power across all levels of government — congratulates our endorsed congressional candidates in Georgia and Texas on their primary victories.
Georgia
- Representative Lucy McBath is running for re-election to represent Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District. Since her first term, Rep. McBath is proud to have worked on numerous pieces of legislation which have been passed through the House, including universal background checks for all gun sales and Red Flag Laws to limit access to firearms for those who are potentially dangerous.
- Marcus Flowers is running to represent Georgia’s 14th Congressional District. Mr. Flowers is a proud veteran that has spent his entire career defending the United States. Mr. Flowers shares the values of his district: loyalty, duty, honor, respect, service and a fierce love of country, which led him to run for office against freshman Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green. He believes deeply in bipartisanship and bridge-building and not in vilifying political opponents.
- Representative Nikema Williams is running for re-election to represent Georgia’s Fifth Congressional District. Rep. Williams plans to continue her legacy of fighting for voting rights, social justice, accessible healthcare, reproductive rights, and being a sounding board for the unheard.
- Representative Sanford Bishop is running for re-election to represent Georgia’s Second Congressional District. Rep. Bishop has been a champion for Georgia for the past 14 years, if re-elected he plans to continue his legacy of creating job opportunities, safer and stronger communities, and expanding educational opportunities.
Texas
- State Representative Jasmine Crockett (TX – 30) is running to represent Texas’ 30 Congressional District; she is a civil rights and criminal defense attorney and former President of the Dallas Black Criminal Bar Association. Rep. Crockett is the youngest Black woman serving the 87th Legislative Session and is the founder and Vice-Chair of the Texas Progressive Caucus and treasurer of the Texas Caucus on Climate. She is passionate about voting rights, criminal justice reform, reproductive rights, and advocating for working-class families.
Founders of The Collective PAC, Quentin James and Stefanie Brown James, released the following statement:
