The Collective PAC Launches New Campaign Jobs Board and Volunteer Hub to Help Candidates Build More Diverse Teams

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC — the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political power, engagement, and representation across all levels of government — launched a new campaign jobs board and volunteer hub to provide greater opportunities for diverse and dynamic talent to support and work with endorsed candidates.

With just 27 days until Election Day and many candidates formalizing their staff infrastructure for 2022, the jobs board and volunteer hub serve as a value add for The Collective PAC’s endorsed candidates and as a resource for Black operatives and progressives who want to be a part of creating a truly equitable democracy.

“As our nation and communities become increasingly multicultural and multi-racial, staff leading campaign messaging and strategy must also reflect the growing diversity of our electorate – and that requires intentionality,” says Stefanie Brown James, Founder and Senior Advisor of The Collective PAC. “It is critical to have Black strategists, campaign managers, communications directors, policy advisors, fundraisers and volunteers who are familiar with the interests and needs of voters, and who can help Black candidates connect authentically with the communities they are working to represent.”

The jobs board is currently populated with open campaign roles submitted by The Collective PAC’s endorsed candidates and will stay active for up to two weeks or until filled; emphasis will be placed on leadership roles. Job seekers may also submit their resume to the resume bank at the bottom of the jobs board for The Collective PAC and campaign teams to keep on file and contact them as new opportunities arise. The volunteer hub will be updated weekly with new opportunities to help make calls, knock on doors, or send texts to voters for candidate campaigns leading up to Election Day.

”With these new tools, we have an opportunity to source and build a pipeline of Black political talent that, quite frankly, has been neglected for far too long,” says Tolulope Kevin Olasanoye, National Political and Organizing Director for The Collective PAC. ”From staff trainings to job resources to leadership development, The Collective is playing a critical role in building Black political power, not just at the electoral level, but also throughout the progressive campaign ecosystem.”

To explore open campaign roles or submit a resume to the resume bank, please visit the jobs board at: www.collectivepac.org/job-board. For open volunteer opportunities, please visit the volunteer hub at www.collectivepac.org/volunteer-board.
