Fighting for Equal Representation
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC — the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation, and power across all levels of government — endorsed Representative Jamila Taylor for the Washington House of Representatives.
Representative Jamila Taylor is running for re-election to the Washington House of Representatives in District 30. Rep. Taylor is a public interest attorney, community advocate, and small business owner. During her first term, she became the Chair of the Legislative Black Caucus and sponsored legislation for expanding scholarships for community and technical schools. Rep. Taylor serves as the Vice-Chair of the Housing, Human Services, and Veteran Committee, and the House Liaison for the North Star Project (Intellectual / Development Disabilities Advocacy). She established her own legal practice and nonprofit in 2017, and later joined the Northwest Justice Project, as their statewide advocacy counsel; managing a network of attorneys representing domestic violence survivors and other crime victims. If re-elected, Rep. Taylor plans to continue to advocate for affordable housing, safer neighborhoods, expanding workforce opportunities, and addressing the homelessness crisis.
