The Collective PAC Endorses Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado & Attorney General Kwame Raoul in Statewide Races

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC  — the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation, and power across all levels of government — endorsed Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado and Attorney General Kwame Raoul in statewide races. 

  • Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado is currently serving as the appointed Lieutenant Governor for New York State and is running to keep his seat. Lt. Governor Delgado formerly served as the U.S. Representative for New York’s 19th Congressional District. During his time in Congress, Lt. Governor Delgado introduced 46 bills, over half of which were bipartisan and 18 were signed into law.  He has been a fierce advocate for New York, helping the state recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and protecting small businesses and supporting family farms. 


  • Attorney General Kwame Raoul is running for re-election as Attorney General in Illinois. During his tenure, Attorney General Raoul created Illinois’ first Organized Retail Crime Task Force, led the Illinois Crimes Against Children Task Force, and increased funding for the Violent Crimes Victims Assistance Program. If re-elected, Attorney General Raoul plans to keep investing in Illinois through advocating for women’s equal pay, expanding Medicaid to cover birth control and mammograms, and support and fight for safer communities for children and the overall betterment of Illinois.

Their experiences and passion continue to make Lieutenant Governor Delgado and Attorney General Raoul the best leaders to represent New York State and the State of Illinois. The Collective PAC Endorses Endorses Four More Candidates to Send to Capitol Hill

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC  — the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation, and power across all levels of government — endorsed two candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives in Maryland, New York, and North Carolina and a candidate for the United States Senate in Alabama. 

Alabama

  • Dr. William Boyd is running to represent Alabama in the United States Senate. Dr. Boyd is the current Bishop of Zion Ministries and Pastor of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. In 2016, he was the Democratic nominee for Alabama’s Fifth Congressional District. Soon after, in 2017, he was elected as Chairman of the Lauderdale County Democratic Executive Committee. In 2018, Dr. Boyd was the Democratic nominee for Lieutenant Governor. If elected, Dr. Boyd plans to build economic development by working with businesses and Organized Labor, advocating for affordable and accessible healthcare, and investing in educational equity by partnering with community leaders and teachers. 

 

Maryland

  • Ms. Donna Edwards is running to represent Maryland’s Fourth Congressional District. Former Congresswoman Edwards previously held this seat from 2008 to 2017. During her tenure, she created 100,000 job opportunities, expanded STEM education in schools, and increased the historic investments in HBCUs. In 2021, Ms. Edwards became a political analyst for NBC/MSNBC bringing her political prowess to television. If elected, she plans to reduce prescription drug prices, advocate for accessible high-speed internet, union-built new roads and bridges, and increased public transportation.  

New York

  • Representative Mondaire Jones is running to represent New York’s Tenth Congressional District. He currently represents New York’s 17th Congressional District. Rep. Jones is a progressive leader who recently secured $9 million for community projects for the 17th District. If elected, Rep. Jones plans to continue his fight to restore and strengthen our democracy so that we can guarantee health care for all, save the planet from climate catastrophe, and end gun violence.

 

North Carolina 

  • State Senator Don Davis is running to represent North Carolina’s First Congressional District. State Senator Davis is a United States Air Force veteran, educator, minister, and former Mayor of Snow Hill. He currently serves District Five in The North Carolina State Senate and has been a political force in North Carolina since 2008. During his tenure, State Senator Davis has raised teachers’ salaries, expanded high-speed internet in rural areas, and secured $215 million in funding for the ECU Brody School of Medicine for accessible healthcare.

The Collective PAC Congratulates Our Endorsed California Candidates On Advancing in their Races

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC  — the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation, and power across all levels of government  —  congratulates our endorsed California candidates on advancing in their races.

Congressional

  • Dr. Kermit Jones (CA – 03) is running to represent California’s 3rd Congressional District. Dr. Jones has served as a doctor for 15 years, first as a Navy flight surgeon and then as a civilian, to ensure all people receive personal and meaningful medical care.  Dr.Jones plans to use his sense of responsibility and patriotism to guide him today and the reason he believes that no person should be deprived of their basic human right to equal and affordable healthcare.

 

  • State Senator Sydney Kamlager (CA – 37) is running to represent California in the United States Congress. A constant advocate for children, State Sen. Kamlager was appointed to the Los Angeles County Commission on Children and Families, as well as elected to the Los Angeles Community College Board. She plans to fight for accessible and expandable healthcare, education, economic development, and criminal justice reform. State Sen. Kamlager is running to fill the seat of Rep. Karen Bass.

 

Statewide

  • Dr. Shirley Weber is running for Secretary of State in California. After being nominated for the position in the fall of 2020, Dr. Weber was confirmed in January of 2021 by a bipartisan majority in both houses of the California legislature. She is committed to strengthening voting rights, improving transparency within elections, and continuing to restore the trust between the community and the government.

 

  • Ms. Malia Cohen is running for State Controller in California. Ms. Cohen currently serves on the State Board of Equalization – the first African American woman to serve on the Board. As California’s next Controller, Ms. Cohen aspires to invest in the community by creating job opportunities, expanding affordable housing and healthcare, and investing in quality education.

 

State and Local

  • Congresswoman Karen Bass is running for Mayor of Los Angeles. Rep. Bass has been a longtime community advocate and a fighter for social and economic justice. Rep. Bass served as the Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus and introduced the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act – the most influential piece of policing legislation ever passed in Congress. If elected as mayor, Rep. Bass plans to address the crisis of homelessness by developing a comprehensive approach to the lack of housing, health care, job opportunities, and alcohol and drug treatment centers.

 

  • Councilmember Rex Richardson is running for Mayor of Long Beach, California. Councilmember Richardson currently serves District nine in the City of Long Beach and has been a dedicated public servant since 2014. He is a regional leader with a proven track record of collaboration and problem solving that has helped improve the lives of Long Beach residents. Councilmember Richardson is committed to taking on the city’s biggest challenges, building a new economy for all, and ensuring every person has the jobs, housing, and economic opportunities so that no resident or neighborhood is left behind.

 

  • Commissioner Myrlys Stockdale Coleman is running for Sacramento County Superior Court. Commissioner Stockdale Colemen currently serves Sacramento County as the Family Law Commissioner and is a current adjunct professor at the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. She is a judicial officer with two decades of experience in the law and nearly 10 years working in courts. If elected, Commissioner Stockdale Coleman plans to continue to preside over cases with understanding, fairness, and integrity.

 

  • Assemblyman Mike Gipson is running for re-election to California State Assembly in District 65.  Assemblyman Gipson has represented the 65th district of California since 2014 and has led the charge for education, expanded access to healthcare, addressed homelessness, and criminal justice reform.

The Collective PAC Congratulates Our Endorsed Candidates On Congressional Primary Victories

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC  — the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation, and power across all levels of government  —  congratulates our endorsed congressional candidates in California and New Jersey on primary victories.

California

  • Dr. Kermit Jones (CA – 04)  is running to represent California’s 4th Congressional District.   • Mr. Tim Alexander (NJ-02) is running to represent New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District. After being racially profiled by the police and falsely arrested because of misidentification, Mr. Alexander felt compelled to pursue a career in law enforcement and bring change to the way agencies interacted with the communities they served. If elected to the House of Representatives, he will focus on national police training reform, infrastructure spending for his district, and fighting climate change.

Congresswoman Karen Bass is running for Mayor of Los Angeles. Rep. Bass has been a longtime community advocate and a fighter for social and economic justice. Rep. Bass served as the Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus and introduced the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act – the most influential piece of policing legislation ever passed in Congress.
