Throughout 2022, The Collective PAC will provide pertinent updates every month on our work, Black candidates running nationwide, results of key research projects and groundbreaking initiatives we’ll be undertaking as we work to increase Black political engagement, representation and power across all levels of government.
Supporting Ketanji Brown Jackson for the United States Supreme Court
Last Friday, The Collective announced support of President Joe Biden’s nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson to serve as the first Black woman Associate Justice on the United States Supreme Court. We also called for a swift and fair confirmation process by the United States Senate. A video of support created by The Collective Education Fund can be found here.
Celebrating Black Change Makers in Cleveland, OH
During the 71st NBA All Star game weekend, The Collective Education Fund hosted The Power and Influence Brunch recognizing national Black influencers, power players and game changers who are shaping the political, social, sports, financial and film and TV industries, while simultaneously being committed to using their platforms for social good. The honorees were:
February Endorsements
During the month of February, The Collective PAC endorsed a slate of 14 candidates running for office in Texas and three Black women running for congress: State Representative Jasmine Crockett in Texas, Karin Norginton-Reaves in Illinois, and State Senator Sydney Kamlager in California. These three candidates have been endorsed by the incumbent Congressional Black Caucus Members who currently represent the districts but have decided to not seek re-election: Rep. Eddie Berneice Johnson (TX-30), Rep. Bobby Rush (IL-01) and Rep. Karen Bass (CA-37).
Finally, Deidre DeJear from Iowa also joins the slate of Black candidates we are supporting for gubernatorial positions in 2022 and The Collective PAC endorsed Congressman Dwight Evans for re-election in Pennsylvania.

The Collective PAC is strategically focused on creating a truly equitable democracy where our nation’s local, state and federal governments have diverse and talented elected leadership and Black people are fully represented in positions of power to create the policies necessary to progress our communities forward. Over the past five years, The Collective PAC has successfully helped 300 Black candidates win elections across the United States.
