The Collective PAC Endorses Anthony Adams for Mayor of Detroit and Jason Hoskins for Southfield City Council in Michigan

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC —  the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation and power across all levels of government — endorsed Anthony Adams for Mayor of Detroit and Jason Hoskins Southfield City Council in Michigan. 

Founders of The Collective PAC, Quentin James and Stefanie Brown James, released the following statement: 

“The Collective PAC is proud to endorse these two candidates in Michigan who are dedicated public servants to their communities: Anthony Adams for Mayor of Detroit and Councilman Jason Hoskins for an at-large seat in Southfield City Council. Both candidates are invested in propelling their cities forward and creating equity for all. The Collective PAC is thrilled to assist Anthony Adams and James Hoskins in making positive changes throughout their communities and continuing their legacy of uplifting and empowering their neighbors.” 

Anthony Adams (Candidate for Mayor of Detroit) has been a public servant in the city of Detroit for the last 30 years. Mr. Adams’ multifaceted service to his community includes serving as Deputy Mayor, Interim Director of the Detroit Water and Sewage and General Counsel for Detroit Public Schools. Currently, he serves as the principal at the Marine Adams Law Firm. Mr. Adams is a progressive leader with integrity and vision, and if elected, he plans to empower the citizens of Detroit to continue to thrive.

Councilman Jason Hoskins (Candidate for At-large, Southfield City Council) graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s in Public Administration, with a concentration in local government management. He chartered and served as president of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. In addition to his work in government, Councilman Hoskins is  an adjunct professor at Lawrence Tech University. If elected to the At-Large seat, Councilman Hoskins plans to continue to reduce commercial blight, increase neighborhood investment and environmental protections
