Fighting for Equal Representation
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC, the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation and power across all levels of government, endorsed Justin Bibb for Mayor of Cleveland, Ohio. Co-founders of The Collective PAC, Quentin James and Stefanie Brown James, released the following statement:
“The Collective PAC is excited to endorse Justin Bibb for Mayor of Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Bibb currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer for Urbanova, an innovative start-up that leads new initiatives to make cities safer, healthier and more resilient. In this role, he works with business leaders, community organizations and elected officials to utilize technology not only to improve services and infrastructure for residents, but also address urban challenges. As the founder of nonprofit organizations Hack Cleveland and Cleveland Can’t Wait, Mr. Bibb has a vested interest in helping Cleveland reach its full potential as a world class city committed to advancing racial equity and economic opportunity in underserved neighborhoods throughout the city. The Collective PAC is ready to support Justin Bibb as he seeks to extend his over 15 years of advocacy from the streets and the boardroom to the mayor’s office.”
Mr. Justin Bibb, Esq., is not only a proud son of Cleveland but the devoted son of a social worker and first responder who has faced many of the challenges city residents face everyday. Through his family’s struggles, Mr. Bibb experienced the city’s failures of basic city services, inspiring him to study urban policy at American University and obtain his JD and MBA degrees from Case Western Reserve University — dedicating his career to building a more just and equitable city.
