The Collective PAC Endorses Karen Bass for Mayor of Los Angeles, California

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC— the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation, and power across all levels of government– endorsed Karen Bass for Mayor of Los Angeles, California.

Congresswoman Karen Bass has represented California in the United States Congress since 2011. Rep. Bass has been a longtime community advocate and a fighter for social and economic justice. She founded the Community Coalition, a community-based social justice organization, and the Los Angeles-based National Foster Youth Institute. Rep. Bass also served as the Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus and introduced the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act – the most influential piece of policing legislation ever passed in Congress. If elected as mayor, Rep. Bass plans to address the crisis of homelessness by developing a comprehensive approach to the lack of housing, health care, job opportunities, and alcohol and drug treatment centers.
