Tuesday, August 24th, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, The Collective PAC –the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation and power across all levels of government — endorsed Reginald Bolding for Secretary of State in Arizona. Founders of The Collective PAC, Quentin James and Stefanie Brown James, released the following statement:

“The Collective PAC is excited to endorse Reginald Bolding for Secretary of State in Arizona. As the sitting House Democratic Leader in the Arizona State Legislature, Representative Bolding has built diverse, non-partisan and bipartisan coalitions to fight for all Arizona residents. Rep. Bolding has been a leader in the fight against egregious voter suppression legislation and as the Arizona Secretary of State, will work vigorously to ensure fair elections in the state. The Collective PAC is ready to work hand and hand to ensure Reginald Bolding’s win in 2022.”

In addition to his time in the state legislature, Rep. Bolding founded the largest Black-led community engagement and voting rights organization in Arizona. This effort is responsible for registering 50,000 qualified people to vote and help deliver real changes for hard working Arizona families. Rep. Bolding is a first-generation college graduate, and before serving in the state legislature, was a special education math teacher and a civic engagement champion. Reginald Bolding would make history as the first Black man elected to statewide office in Arizona.
